The course is designed to be A Really Useful Study Day for
Aspiring Minor Surgery and Joint Injection Practitioners at
an Absolutely Beginner
Level with
no previous training: NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH SURGICAL
EXPERIENCE
Includes Personal Instructions
And
The Opportunity to Practice Practical Skills Including:
1. Difficult Incisions and Wounds
2. Specialised Closure Techniques
3. Excision of Dermal and Sub-Cutaneous Lesions
4. Principles Of Administering Local Anaesthesia
Also
5. PRINCIPLES OF JOINT INJECTION AND AN INTRODUCTION TO
SKIN LESIONS

course requires practical work with pig’s trotters and is
intended to provide instructions in very
basic
techniques

skills based
practical workshops in the Tips and Tricks Series are for

Musculo-skeletal / Neurological examination, 2. Joint
Injections, 3. Critical Review 4. Major Incident
preparedness– others as indicated by the participants! Are
