Contents and Schedule
Start: Please arrive at 8.45 for a sharp 9 AM Start
-Brief Introduction to:
• Minor Surgery and Skin Lesions
• Patient Selection and Pre Op Considerations
• Referral Policy
-Practical Demonstration and Practice of:
1. Local Anaesthesia
2. Handling the Instruments and Tying Knots
Break (Around 11 AM)
3. Incision and Skin Closure techniques: demonstration and practice
(Including: Simple / Mattress / Purse String Sutures, ‘Alternative’ to Suturing, Methods to Close ‘Difficult’ Wounds)
‘Quick and Simple’ Lunch (Around 1 PM)
4. Removal of Superficial and Deep lesions (with a very short break At approximately 2:30 PM)
-Brief Introduction to
• Post Op Care. Avoiding and treating complications
3 pm
5. Introduction to Joint Injections
The entire schedule is implemented in a flexible way to ensure best learning
End at 4:30 pm (approximately)
